Today’s Pill #237: Beyond the Simulation We Live In

The idea of a simulated reality begs the question: what lies beyond? Since the simulation hypothesis hinges on advanced technology, the outside could be a realm of super-intelligent beings, the creators who manipulate our world for their purposes. Alternatively, it might be a place beyond our comprehension, with physics and logic defying our programmed understanding.
Perhaps the simulation itself is infinite, with countless nested realities, each a layer deeper in the simulation. Or, maybe there’s nothing at all, just the abrupt cessation of our programmed existence. The truth is, by definition, beyond our ability to grasp. We can only explore the nature of our reality, searching for cracks in the code that hint at the world outside.
